The British government announced on November 16th that it will pay
several million dollars in compensation in an out-of-court settlement
to some former British Guantanamo Bay detainees. This follows British
Prime Minister David Cameron’s July inquiry into Britain’s role in
torture since the September 2001 terrorist attacks. Rather than risk
further discussion that focuses on Britain’s role the settlement
essentially silences the former detainees from taking their stories to

place at the wrong time. If you are guilty of a crime then you should
be charged. If you are charged then then there should be proof offered
to substantiate the claim. B4DC >> We cannot be protecting our ‘values’ if we are willing to
ignore those values when we want a predetermined outcome. B4DC >> When all is said and done, these individuals lost years of
their lives and in the end … there appears to have been no case
against them other than wrong place at the wrong time.
